One National Framework For Your Entire
Middle School Athletic Program.
Safety. Standards. Education. Technology. Competition. Recognition.
You already have middle school sports. NFMSS helps you make them safer, more organized, more visible, and more valuable to the student-athlete — across every middle school in your district, under a single agreement. This is not a school-by-school membership process. It is one partnership covering every program you already run.
Everything Your Middle School Athletic Program Needs.
National Standards
Consistent expectations across every middle school in your district, instead of school-by-school inconsistency.
Student-Athlete Safety
Concussion, heat illness, cardiac safety, and emergency preparedness resources built into every membership.
Education-Based Athletics
Athletics that reinforce your district's academic mission: attendance, accountability, leadership, and character.
Championship Pathway
A structured route from regular season play to regional and state championship competition.
National Recognition
Rankings, Athlete of the Week, Middle School of the Week, and All-American honors for your schools and athletes.
Technology
Rising Rank Sports provides statistics, schedules, rosters, rankings, athlete profiles, and competition data in one place.
What Changes For Your District.
Middle School Sports Are Part Of Education.
NFMSS believes athletics should be an extension of the classroom, not a separate track from it. Every standard we publish is built around academic achievement, attendance, character, and student engagement, alongside the safety protocols that protect student-athletes.
That is why the District Partnership Program is built to support your district's academic mission, not compete with it. Recognition, rankings, and championships are part of the experience — but they are the result of a program built on education first.
Built For District-Level Decision Makers.
The District Partnership Program is designed to be signed once, at the district level — not negotiated school by school.

Questions From District Leaders.
How is pricing determined for a district partnership?
District pricing scales with the number of participating schools rather than a flat per-school fee. We provide a proposal after an initial consultation, and founding-partner pilot terms are available for the 2026–27 season.
Do all middle schools in the district have to participate?
No. Districts can start with a subset of schools and expand over time, though the greatest administrative benefit comes from bringing every middle school under the same agreement and standards at once.
Does this replace our existing athletic policies?
NFMSS provides a national standards framework covering safety, eligibility, coaching, and conduct. It is designed to sit alongside your district's existing policies and give every school a shared baseline, not to replace district governance.
What is the relationship between NFMSS and Rising Rank Sports?
NFMSS provides the standards, governance, safety, and education framework. Rising Rank Sports is the sole official technology platform for statistics, rankings, schedules, rosters, and athlete profiles for every NFMSS member school and district.
Who should we send this to internally?
Most district partnerships start with a district athletic director, superintendent or assistant superintendent, or a director of student services. If you are not the right point of contact, we are glad to be redirected to whoever is.
